🌱 Quick Care Guide

Because both of these species are temperate sundews, they share identical care requirements and make excellent companion plants!

• ☀️ Light: Requires Full Sun to bright indirect light. High-intensity LED grow lights or a south-facing window work beautifully.

• 💧 Water: CRITICAL: Use ONLY distilled water, reverse osmosis (RO) water, or clean rainwater. Keep the soil constantly wet using the "tray method." Never let the soil dry out.

• ⏳ Soil: Grows best in a nutrient-poor, acidic mix of 50:50 peat moss and perlite, or pure long-fibered sphagnum moss. Never use standard potting soil or fertilizer.

• 🌡️ Temperature & Dormancy: These are cold-hardy, temperate plants. They thrive in warm summer months and require a winter dormancy period. In late fall, they will naturally die back and form tight winter resting buds (hibernacula) before exploding back to life in the spring.
