Sundew 3 Pack- Drosera Capensis, Drosera Spatulata, Drosera Intermedia
A 3 pack of incredible, live Sundews. This variety pack includes the enormously popular, and for great reason, as it is one of the most beautiful and rewarding Sundews in existence, Drosera Capensis. This Sundew is especially easy to cultivate, as well as propagate from both seed and cutting. Drosera Capensis, also displays beautiful, extraordinarily vivid, red hues when provided ample amounts of bright light. To be more specific, light on the blue side of the spectrum is what will increase the red pigments found in Drosera, the most effectively.
This pack will also include another exceptionally beautiful Sundew, Drosera Spatulata. This Sundew functions in a very similar fashion as its relatives, however it is uniquely shaped. D. Spatulata grows in a rosette shape, with satisfying, spoon shaped leaves. It too will display vivid red pigments when provided with enough light. A feature that D. Spatulata does have though, that other Sundews types do not, is the ability to flower numerous times throughout the year. And, to make it an even more rewarding specimen to cultivate, each time it flowers it is capable of producing huge amounts of seeds. The flowers that D. Spatulata produce, are exceptionally beautiful as well.
The last, but certainly not the least of the types of Sundews that are included in this pack, is Drosera Intermedia. This Sundew is another one of the Carnivorous Plant community's' absolute favorites. And this is, of course, for very good reason. Drosera intermedia is often referred to as the Oblong-leaved Sundew, and is able to, as well, display the most extraordinary, vivid, red pigmentation. This, like it's releatives, is encouraged by ample amounts of light. To be specific, light on the blue side of the spectrum is what instigates anthocyanins, which are what cause the red pigmentation that many Drosera are so well known for. Intermedia, unlike many of its relatives, does experience a dormancy period from around September or October, to about March.
