Sundew 2 Pack- Drosera Spatulata, Drosera Intermedia
Two gorgeous Sundews, Drosera Intermedia and Drosera Intermedia. Both of these are perfect additions to any gardeners collection of beautiful plants. They both go about catching their prey in the same manner, and they also, both produce beautiful flowers and large amounts of seeds. These two Sundews also, largely due to their generous seed production, spread very well when given time and often end up carpeting the surface of the moss all around them. In terms of their color too, while the shades do vary, and sometimes quite significantly, depending on the amount of light the plants are receiving, both of these Drosera types do share fairly similar colors.
Some noteworthy differences between these two Drosera types however, are their shape, flowering timing, seed size/shape, as well as the time of the year in which these Sundews actually grow. To start with, Drosera Spatulata has leaves that lay quite closely to the surface of the moss that they are usually cultivated in. Whereas in the case of Drosera Intermedia, it has small spoon shaped, leaves at the end of long petioles. Drosera Spatulata is unique, in that it is able to flower over and over again throughout spring and summer. Drosera Intermedia is a little bit different, they flower in the period of time between July and September. Another fact that separates Intermedia from Drosera Spatulata, is the fact that it Intermedia goes through a period of dormancy. This dormancy period typically begins during the earliest portions of fall, September or October.
